IT IS OK NOT TO HAVE YOUR SHIT TOGETHER.. (I don’t)

Hey GUYS! I am writing this blog post today to let you know that the latest episode of The In Alignment Podcast is now available! You can listen on iTunes HERE or Soundcloud HERE.

In this episode I am talking about qualifying as a yoga teacher. I reflect back on my training and discuss what I have learnt… I realised throughout the training that I don’t have my shit together, but that is ok. I burst my bubble of ‘everything is ok and needs to be perfect’ and now I live in the real world, but I am happier than ever.

I talk about the pressure from social media to be perfect all the time and show off this perfect image to the rest of the world. I then go on to share an affirmation I use everyday which has changed my life:

IT IS OK TO MAKE MISTAKES.

IT IS OK TO MESS UP.

IT IS OK TO GET MESSY.

IT IS OK TO BE VULNERABLE.

I have learnt all of this throughout the past 7 months of training to be a yoga teacher and now I am able to let go of mistakes and accept the fact that they will happen.

In this conversation I then speak about what I am planning to do now I have finished my training. I talk about the vipassana (meditation course/retreat) I am going on and I speak the big questions that I want to answer.. these are: WHAT DO I WANT OUT OF LIFE and WHO AM I?

I then go on to talk about community. I speak about how I have discovered so much community during my yoga teacher training and how important it is.
