Meditation, Thoughts, and Freedom

This week on the In Alignment Podcast I am sharing a realisation I had during my meditation practice.

I speak about how I have been struggling with thoughts; these thoughts are mainly in the form of QUESTIONS. I have so many questions (mostly about the future) and I just feel as though I need to know EVERYTHING.

In my meditation I realised that you don’t need to have the answers to all these questions RIGHT NOW.
In fact I realised that maybe meditation IS the answer: in meditation we are able to sort through our thoughts; release thoughts; find the solution to problems; and create the right mindset for the rest of the day.

I realised that there is FREEDOM in not needing to know the whole time. We can get rid of ‘what if’s’ about the past and future, that keep us feeling anxious, and just live in the present moment.

At the end of the podcast episode I come to the conclusion that maybe we should try and allow our life to go in the direction that it wants to go and don’t try and control it too much.
